Next Top Model Competition in a dorm?

Ok I will admit I have NEVER watched America’s Next Top Model. However I am the head RA (resident assistant) in an all girls dorm. A lot of the girls have been asking if we could have Royer’s next Top Model competition in the dorms. I would like some suggestions on the best way for going about this. Should it be a several week competition or should it be a one nighter. I honestly have no clue how the competition even works. So if you have any insight that would be awesome!
We would be choosing contestants that we know well enough to know they wont take it seriously. I just know that some of these girls really want a competition and I would like to give it to them. I don’t think they would be happy with making an outfit out of toilet paper.

America’s Next Top Model is generally all about girls acting catty and immature. It’s great TV, but I’m not sure if you’d want to do it in the dorm, especially if the girls started to take it really seriously. Maybe a fun one-night event could work though, if it was really silly and didn’t actually involve judging the girls based on their appearances. (Like make an outfit out of toilet paper or something, pose as ridiculously as you can, etc.)

I think the best way to decide your format is to first have a night where the girls pitch ideas. They can get into committees where they have competition ideas, a couple people can rotate doing photography, a panel of judges can be elected, etc. I think the planning could be just as fun as the actual “competition.”
