MJ gave the jacket to a 14 year old named David Smithy
David was dying of cystic fibrosis and Michael gave him two gifts – the red Beat It jacket MJ wore in the video and the black sequinned glove he had worn to the American Music Awards earlier that year.
David’s name also appears in the thank you list on BAD.

Mj is so nice hes given millions to charity and has helped alot of kids with illneses get better.
The jacket would probably be more expensive when sold in an aucction then what it was actually bought for.
